I designed and made a costume for the character Adam Whitely from the musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Adam is a young drag queen, with a stage name of Felicia Jollygoodfellow. To get a bit of excitement Adam agrees to travel across Australia to perform in a hotel in Alice Springs with a fellow drag queen, Tick, and Bernadette, a transgender woman. This musical is a funny, tender, uplifting adventure of three friends who become closer as they make their road trip together.

My design for Felicia’s drag costume was inspired by the prickly pear cactus found in the Australian outback where the musical is set.
